Citrus & Rosemary Spritzer (Cocktail or Mocktail)
This refreshing spritzer can be made as a refreshing drink alone or mixed with either champagne or spirits. We recommend making a pitcher of the mix and letting guests mix it as they wish. Our Organic Cotton Napkins are the perfect size for cocktail napkins!
Mix (makes about half a gallon)
- 12oz frozen lime juice
- 12oz frozen lemonade
- Water to adjust taste
- 2 12oz cans sprite
- Sliced lemons and limes
- Rosemary sprigs (about 12 + 1 for each glass for garnish)
- 4 tbs cane sugar
- 4oz water
The rosemary is what makes this drink absolutely addicting. First make the rosemary simple syrup. Mix the sugar with 4oz water and bring to a boil (you can do this in the microwave if you’re pressed for time). When the water and sugar begin to blend, add the rosemary and begin to muddle it. Using the flat side of a spoon smash the rosemary sprigs into the sugar mix until the sprigs are broken up and the mix is fragrant. Mix thoroughly and set aside.
In a large pitcher mix the frozen lime and lemon juice and add 16oz of water (more if you prefer a gentler taste) and 2 cans of sprite. Mix the juice mixture until well blended. Place in the fridge while you strain the rosemary.
Take the simple syrup mixture and strain the rosemary out. You can use cheesecloth, a small strainer, or a fork in a pinch! Add the rosemary infused syrup into the pitcher and blend well. Taste and adjust with water to taste. Add the sliced limes and lemons and enjoy!
Serve as is or mix with champagne, tequila, rum, or vodka (especially citrus flavored) for a grown up refresher.
